Stack Golf Swing – What Are the Advantage and Disadvantages of the Stack and Tilt Golf Swing?

What is the Stack Golf Swing? The Stack and Tilt Swing is the latest and hottest thing on the PGA Tour. Endorsed by golfers like Andy Plummer and Mike Bennet who are now being hailed as the newest golf gurus of our time.

The major difference in the Stack Golf Swing System is that it teaches golfers to keep their weight on their front foot during the entire swing. This completely eliminates the idea of a weight shift during the backswing. With this revolutionary golfing system the golfer starts with almost 60% of the weight on her front foot, and actually proceeds to shift more weight to the front foot during the backswing.

There are also some more subtle differences that might be hard for golfers to see at first, but some of these differences are very important. The first difference you might notice has to do with the back leg. In the typical backswing the golfer keeps his or her leg slightly flexed. On the other hand in the new Stack and Tilt Golf Swing, the back leg actually straightens out and pushes toward the designated target.

The first advantage you might notice of the Stack Golf Swing is an increased amount of power and distance in your golf swing. This point has been constantly argued by the Stack and Tilt Swing critics and advocates. They also argue that you will find it easier to make square contact with the ball. Most advocates of this golf swing agree that the swing is not for everyone and with out proper instruction can cause the everyday golfer to develop some bad habits which can be hard to eliminate later on in the future. So, remember proper instruction is key and remember to consult a certified golf coach before making any major changes to your swing.

Golf Head Covers

Not so long ago the humble golf head cover was a rather drab and functional thing – usually in black and mostly made from man made materials. They certainly served their purpose of protecting club heads but little else. In the main they were supplied with golf drivers and fairway woods but as time progressed iron and putter covers gained greater popularity. Functionally they have also developed, first with longer socks to make them more graphite friendly, then with many forms of closure including zips, velcro and most recently magnets. All steps taken by their manufactures’ to make their removal easier – ever struggled?

Coming right up to date it’s a completely different story. Yes the functionality is there but so to are many funky fashion statements. So if you are not satisfied with the ever increasing range of traditional head covers and want to personalise your bag, the range of options now available is immense.

Animal golf head covers
The choice includes animals like Bears, Lions, Labradors, Cats and Foxes. Some are stylised while others are really life-like. Prices for individual covers range from

Looking For Golf Carts For Sale?

Golf carts are becoming increasingly popular in the United States and many people are looking for golf carts for sale in their local areas for a variety of different reasons.

The main driver for their rapid increasein popularity is due to the rise gas prices and global warming awareness. Electric golf carts provide an opportunity for people to travel short haul journeys at less cost to themselves and their environment. This has lead to civilians petitioning their local authorities for the right to use golf cars on the road.

The light utility vehicles have been allowed on the streets in some states for centuries and experts predict even more states to adopt this idea in the future. The most successful petitions have been in Iowa, where the residents of Ely were given permission to use them on the road. Other successes include Storm Lake and Fayette County.

However, the idea of allowing golf carts on the street has not been met positively by everyone. The local authorise in Newnan have rejected calls for them to be street legal after conducting a study on golf cart related injuries and concluding that they would be too dangerous for road use and cause a serious threat to safety to drivers.

Their study found that injuries were increasing, rising 160% from 1990 to 2006. Despite this, critics say that this is due to the increase golf carts usage throughout the country and is not an accurate representation of what would happen if they were made street legal with added protection precautions such as protective clothing, licenses and signs to indicate a slow moving vehicle to other drivers.

The laws concerning golf carts look to be changing and researchers predict that electric golf carts could become a very common method of transport in the future adding that prices of golf carts for sale are likely to rise in the near future due to increased demand.

Comfortable Golf Shoe Features For Walking

Some are purists, others into exercise. Maybe they prefer the solitude of their own company, or simply like the feel of the turf under their feet. Or perhaps they’re fortunate enough to live where walking remains the accepted means of transportation – somewhere like Scotland or Ireland.

There are many reasons a certain segment of the golfing population, however small, choose to walk the course rather than ride in a cart. These healthy, hearty folks have slightly different golf shoe needs than those who strap the bag to a buggy and let the four-wheeled caddie do most of the work.

Golf shoes for walkers should be light, flexible and sturdy, among other qualities. Consider: The average course measures about 6,500 yards from tee to green. That’s 3.7 miles. Now factor in the distance between the clubhouse and tee boxes, from one green to the next tee, zig-zags across fairways, back-and-forth treks to hunt down wayward shots, trips from ball to hole when reading the green…

You get the idea – a round of golf walked is somewhere in the 5-7-mile range. Plus, there’s a bag full of clubs, balls and other trinkets to carry or push on a hand cart. Whew!

For those about to walk, we salute you with this guide to features to look for in your next pair of spikes.

Lightweight construction

Major manufacturers have broken the code when it comes to feather-light materials, making golf shoes that weigh as little as 13.8 ounces apiece. Some are made of fabric or synthetic leather, but you needn’t eschew genuine cowhide if that’s your thing; many lightweight golf shoes are available in real leather.

Waterproofing

We can think of few sensations less pleasant than walking in soaked shoes. Golfing in rainy or muddy conditions, or even in a thick morning dew, can leave the feet wet and clammy. Unless, of course, your golf shoes are waterproof.

Fortunately, most are. In fact, you should settle for nothing less than a one-year waterproof warranty when deciding on a purchase, and aim for two.

Moisture wicking

Waterproof shoes only prevent water from getting in from the outside. What about the moisture your feet create all by themselves?

Sweat makes moisture wicking shoes a necessity for walking golfers. Special material lining the inside draws dampness away from the feet and sends it, well, who knows where? Just trust us – the concept works like a charm.

Sockliners are fairly standard in today’s golf shoes and most are equipped with moisture-wicking mesh. You can’t go wrong with sockliners.

Flexibility

No matter how light or water-repellent your shoes may be, it’s all for naught if they’re stiff as an overstarched polo. Good news, though: This blister-causing property has been largely eliminated by newfangled building blocks like TPU (thermoplastic urethane) and EVA (ethyl vinyl acetate), ultralight polymers used to form soles and other shoe parts.

We suggest trying on any pair of shoes that interest you and taking a quick stroll around the shop. You’ll know pretty quickly if the togs are supple.

Memory foam

More luxury than necessity, memory foam conforms to the shape of your foot or ankle and makes for an extremely comfortable experience. Anyone with a bed or pillow made from the stuff will understand.

Hot Party Franchises For the Fun Entrepreneur

People have a tendency to draw a stark line between who they are in their personal lives and who they are in business. While many businesses operate this way to create a high level of professionalism at the work place, some businesses function better when the atmosphere is more casual and relaxed, and it can often be very lucrative to choose a job that utilizes your natural personality and passions. One great example is the party industry. The person who is instinctively able to see the big picture for an event, organize people, and throw an exceptional party is not at all restricted to only doing so for friends and family; their services are in high demand in the marketplace, and not just in the specific business of party planning. There are a few different avenues with plenty of business opportunities for someone who loves having a good time and ensuring that other people have a good time too.

Party Planning

Obviously, there are party franchises opportunities in the realm of party planning, because folks of all walks of life enjoy a good party, but not everyone has both the time and talent to organize a fun and functional party. There are two franchise businesses in this $500bil industry that have made their mark by organizing the best events.

One such business is Plan Ahead Events, a franchise opportunity that is known for organizing everything from simple meetings to conventions and trade shows with a solid sense of both professionalism and style. This work from home business takes people with the natural focus and ambition necessary for a good event planner and teaches them all they need to know about finding clients and orchestrating resources to make a great party. Depending on the city you want to operate in and what resources you will need access to from the outset, prices can range from $26,000 to $33,000, which is a reasonable price for entry into what is one of the 50 best industries, according to CNN/Money Magazine.

One Hour Parties is another exceptional name in party planning, in part because they specialize in a corner of the market that few do: the one-hour office party. Birthdays, successful business deals, expansions, promotions, there are a number of great reasons to throw a quick party in the middle of a work day. It keeps up morale without costing anyone a good deal of time, except for the person who has to organize the party. But if a company can outsource that part of the event, business-as-usual is not interrupted. That is precisely where this home based business steps in, arranging the party on the company dollar, not the company time. Very low overhead and shorter timeframes for events make this the perfect opportunity for an entrepreneur who likes to be able to bounce quickly from job to job.

Party Facilities

Party planning is great for some, but others prefer something a little more regular than a business that varies greatly from party to party. For such a person, opening an entertainment franchise for people to come and party on your terms is a great alternative.

Most of us have been to some form of a kiddy play land, designed to engage and entertain children of all ages with various games and attractions. It’s a profitable business because kids are always interested in having fun, and parents are always interested in throwing birthday parties without having to clean up afterward. With a Recess franchise, parents, kids, and the franchisee get to “go bananas.” There are three different investment levels to choose from that represent different designs that each include a wide array of inflatable attractions, redemption games, and even toddler entertainment. Depending on what will work in your area and what you’re capable of investing, there is sure to be a right choice for you.

Sometimes, however, party facilities are a little more specific as to the kind of entertainment they provide. Laser Nation and Monster Mini Golf are two such examples. Laser Nation franchises take advantage of the growing trend of laser tag. The concept is simple: people come in to a location and pay money to play various games built on shooting each other with high-tech laser guns, which is surprisingly fun. With the franchisor helping throughout the establishment of the business and continuing to give marketing resources, a franchisee could easily be set up to schedule birthday parties and family outings for people every week. As fun as laser tag is, though, some people find no party more fun than a classic round of miniature golf, or putt-putt, and none is more fun than Monster Mini Golf, the only place that mixes ghouls and goblins with golf balls. The family entertainment industry is one of the largest and most steadily growing markets available, and with the balance between self-determination and oversight that only a franchise can offer, this may be the perfect way for you to enrich the community, entertain the masses, and make your money all at the same time.

Party Retail

Finally, if actually planning parties or providing the space for them is not your idea of fun business, perhaps offering the equipment and tools for them is. If so, a Discount Party Store retail franchise is an excellent choice that brings parties and retail together. Considering themselves the “Cadillac” of party stores, Discount Party Store helps you make your business all that it can be for the needs of your particular area. Depending on what you can afford and what your store needs, there are plenty of options in size and merchandise that you can choose from, and the merchandise is always second to none, because the franchisor keeps in constant communication with product providers to ensure quality. The words franchise and franchisor here are somewhat deceptive though, because this is not truly a franchise: from day one, the owner is completely in charge of the operation and never has to pay royalties. By and large, it’s a good deal.

Whichever aspect of the party industry is your personal favorite, there is a franchise that undoubtedly works with your natural propensity to prepare and throw noteworthy parties. Anything can be a money-making tool, and nothing more so than the business of fun.

His whole angle must be pointing toward the target. He holds the putter on his side. His one hand grips the top while his arms hold the lower grip. In a pendulum-style swing, he moves the L2 Lateral Line Putter to and fro.

This design is specifically made for forward-facing putters. This gives them a natural stroke therefore resulting a better way to gauge the right speed.

The weight makes the putter move online for the pendulum stroke but it helps the golfer get the tempo that he’s after. It also assists struggling golfers with their yippy stroke and handsy stroke. It gives off the very strong direction and distance by controlling the short putts.

7. Frankly Frog

Living up to its name, the frankly frog is so easy to get aligned and is stable through every stroke. Made from graphite shaft, the Frankly Frog has a green grip which matches the head. It may not suit the taste of most but it is remarkable what it can do to a golfer’s game.

The head construction creates positive rolls, preventing the skidding and the hopping, from the impact of the swing on the ball. If you put all these together, then you have quite the efficient mallet golf putter.

Volkswagen To Recall 790,000 Vehicles

Forbes.com is famous for its “best”, “most” and “worst” lists and for the year 2006 it has recorded the Most Recalled Vehicles which are as follows:

o Dodge Ram with 7 recalls

o Dodge Durango with 6 recalls

o Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra with 4 recalls

o Honda Civic with 4 recalls

o Hyundai Sonata with 4 recalls

o Jeep Liberty with 4 recalls

o Land Rover LR3 with 4 recalls

As you may have observe no Volkswagen vehicle is included in the list but it doesn’t mean that Europe’s largest is free from recalls. It has also recalled some 362,000 new Beetles and Jettas due to defects found on the brake light switch. The recall has affected 1999-2002 Jettas and 1998-2002 new Beetles.

And last Monday, Volkswagen of America Inc. has announced that it would recall 790,000 of its vehicles due to the same problem–defective brake light switch. The said recall would involve several models of Volkswagen such as: 1999-2006 model years of the Golf and GTI, 2001-2005 Jettas, 2001-2007 New Beetles and the 2004 R32.

Volkswagen has earlier reported to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that the brake light switches in the vehicles to be recalled could malfunction if they were improperly installed. The automaker further stated that the brake light could either remain on or failed to completely function. The danger of this is that it could give other motorists with the wrong braking signal which might lead to a crashing accident.

According to Keith Price VW spokesman, in some vehicles with automatic transmissions, a defective brake light could work in with the shift interlock to immobilize the vehicle and afterwards be simply towed. He also said that the current recall is actually an extension of last year’s recall since the company “has found out that there was a broader pool of vehicles that had the defective part.”

Price added that all those with 2001-2002 New Beetles and Jettas that have been repaired following the last year’s recall doesn’t need to return for the second time. For this year’s recall VW dealers will install new VW parts particularly the newly designed brake light switch for free. The recall will begin in late April and owners are advised to call VW for any queries that they may have. The VW number to contact is 800-822-8987.

Mini Golf Games

Mini golf games are usually developed for mobile phones. PC versions of these games are also available. These games bring all the excitement, skill and fun of playing real time golf to mobile phone handsets. Mini golf games enable players to develop new and different skill sets required in the game of golf.

These games provide the option of playing on different courses and trying out a number of difficult holes that cannot be constructed on a real golf course. Players can compete as real time golfing legends. They also have the option to play individual games on a single handset or play with friends in a complete tournament. All that the players require is a mobile phone with a relatively big screen to enjoy the game.

A good software uses an isometric perspective that gives players the clearest view possible of each hole. It allows them to plan their game and play their strokes in the same way as playing in a real life game of golf. However, the courses and holes are certainly not real life. They are highly animated and can include burning desert sand, tropical beaches, high mountain peaks and ice covered lands. Holes are also designed in different shapes and sizes to offer different challenges to players. The game controls are designed in an easy format to enable players to enjoy these games.

However, not every software is designed properly. The software might have bad graphic images, and the accuracy of shots played is also debatable.

These games have created many mobile golfing fans all round the world. They have successfully captured the essence of competitive professional real life games of golf. These games are designed in a way that enables people of every age to play and enjoy the games. More improved versions of present games are expected to be developed in the coming years.

9 Basic Golf Rules For Beginners

Elementary rules of golf are not that hard to master, but they may seem out of reach if the game is completely new to you. Unlike other sports, golf does have some unsaid rules that, with their absence may not disqualify you, but practicing them makes you at ease on the course and with other players as well. The most basic rules concern themselves with behavior and conduct, and also with taking care of the course. This article will help any player feel more comfortable on the course, be it a player who needs to remind himself of these basic rules, or may be a player completely new to the game as well.

1. One round of the game consists of 18 holes that you need to finish within four hours
2. You are permitted to carry up to fourteen golf clubs in your kit bag. Carrying more may result in penalty.
3. Basic golf manners require that you allow the person before you to make a hit. You need to keep this in mind throughout the game all over the course. The player who is allowed to make the first hit is he who scored lowest on the previous hole.
4. Safety is always important. Before making your swing, make sure no one is standing right beside you, or in the area you are aiming at. A golf ball is very hard and could cause serious injury.

If you are a beginner to the game you need to be aware that you need to stay brisk and attentive on the course. You need to do your best to avoid slow play, which is a violation of the rules. Try these tips -

5. Before you begin the round, make sure you have all the required equipment in your golf bag. You will not have time to return for another club during play.
6. Do not try and practice on the course itself. The practice area is meant for this, or you could practice elsewhere.
7. Do not waste more than a few minutes looking for a mishit ball, its just not worth the time.
8. Do keep track of the pace of the golf players before and after you. If the group behind you is much faster than you, you could save them some frustration by letting them get ahead.
9. After you have done your putting, move out of the green immediately. This is not the area where you should hang around and look up the scores.

Following some of these basic rules and etiquette will not only improve your game, but will avoid frustrations. After all, you do need to feel welcome on a golf course, and not a pain in the wrong place.
